日本の教育の間違い。

先日とあるニュースを目にした。

英語民間試験の導入が問題になり、文科大臣の謎の発言、

その上、森元総理（以後、敢えて、森さん）が、

「学校の先生が教えるのは無理だ。塾ばかりが儲かる世の中にすれば、日本は滅びる」

と言った。

まず、塾ごときで日本は滅びないだろう、森さん。

神の国発言から始まり、謎めいた発言をすることが多かった森さんだからこそ、そこまで驚きはしないけど。

話はさておき、とにかく日本の教育の間違いはもちろん、文部科学省から始まるのだが、

そこは長期的に考えてもどうにもならないだろう。

だからこそ、ちゃんと勉強したい子のために学習塾が出来たのだ。

学校の教育が確立されていれば、学習塾なんて必要ない。

それではなぜ、日本の教育がだめなのか。

学校の教師の質、そして進級システムにあると考える。

教育的に急成長している国では、中学になっても、高校になっても、小学生の時のようにすべての科目を同じ教員が教えている。日本では数学の先生・英語の先生と科目ごとに先生が分かれている。

でも生徒はすべての科目を勉強しなければいけない。それっておかしくない？って。

つまり日本の教員は単純に質が悪い。1つの科目しか教えられないからだ。中にはそれすらままならない教員だっている。質が悪いというと失礼にあたるが、

大切なのは教師と生徒の信頼関係だ。「すごいな、この先生」そう思われているかどうかだ。

日本では生徒にいろいろ言われる先生もいるだろう。

でもその時に、「私は子どもにバカにされるような人間じゃない。どれだけ今まで努力してきたと思っているんだよ」と胸を張って言い返せる自信があるかどうか。

そして進級システム。ぼーっと1年間過ごしてそれでも進級できる。

習字・そろばん・プール・各種検定など、ぼーっとしてて進級できるはずない。

でも学校は進級できる。

できなくても進級、もっと上にいけるけどそこに留まらなければいけない。

やはり飛び級制度が必要だ。

ここまで、日本の教育の間違いについて話してきた。

自分は、塾経営をしている身であるが、敢えて言おう。

私は塾という商売が成り立たない世の中を作りたい。

塾は間違いなく、教育の平等を崩しているからだ。

しかし、そうなるまでにあとどのくらいかかるだろうか。

それまでの間、より良い教育を行うために始まった塾が、気付かぬ間（いや。意図的）に積み上げ続けた高い壁を、壊す作業を続けていきたいと思っている。

塾は商売ではない。

教育だ。

教育に商売を持ち込んではいけない。

最後に、森さん。

模範解答を言おう。

「塾が儲かる世の中にしてはいけない。学校が最高の教育を受けられる場所でなければならないからだ。

入学生の質を上げるのは塾ではなく、学校の先生。それでもやはり、論理的な思考能力・特に英語に関しては日本は完全に世界の中で遅れをとっている。全国の学校で対応できる状況になった段階で今回の入試内容の変更を実施するのが望ましいのではないか。」

そう。森さんの発言自体、論理的な思考の産物ではないのだ。
