長期休みの過ごし方。よりも・・

さあ、夏休みが始まりました。

今回の夏休みは短いということで、初めからなんだか諦めモードの生徒もいますが、２週間の休みを適当に過ごす人はおそらく数年間も平気で適当に過ごすことになるだろう。

 

しかしそこで意識してほしいことは、この２週間をどう過ごすかよりも、どのように平日の生活へシフトしていくかということかと思う。

私たちはなにかと短期間の出来事を意識しがちである。もちろん、短期間に集中できることはとても重要である。

それよりもこれから続く人生においてこの休みをどのような位置づけにするのか。

そして短期間に対して考えることよりも長期的に当然のこととして勉強を続けることが重要であると思う。

 

長い人生の中でとりあえず学生の間勉強すればいい。そう思っている時点で間違いである。

しっかりと今を生きている人は常にチャレンジの連続である。

もちろんその分のリスクはあるし、何かしらの我慢は必要。また考えることも多いだろう。

しかし必ず、それにも勝るものを目にすることができる。

 

いつになっても夢を持ち続けている人は素直にかっこいい。

人間は常に勉強の連続である。

人生はどれだけ息をしたかではなく、どれだけ息を呑むような瞬間があったか。

 

息を呑むような瞬間というのは他人努力では訪れない。

自分の努力の末に訪れるものである。

 

これからもこの言葉を胸にしっかりと前を向いて生きていきたい。
