自分でいうのも何だけど、私は所謂、塾講師という人がキライだ。

教育を商売にする感じがより一層そう感じさせる。

私は大学生の頃、学習塾の講師というアルバイトがあったから、学費を支払いながら大学に通うことが出来た。

お金を払える人は塾に通って、あらゆる教育を受けることが出来た。

お金が払えない人は塾に通えずに、自分で勉強するしかなかった。

教育の平等というのはどこで保たれているのかということに疑問を抱き始めたのは、

情けないことに私自身が親になってからだった。

しかし、その自分が受け取っていた給料によって、教育の不平等をより一層深めてしまっていたことに気付いた。

私にできることは、

・通いやすい塾を作ること。

・塾に通っていない子どもでも来られる場所を作ること

・勉強以外に必要なものを、塾の先生としてではなく、一人の地域の大人として伝えること

・一人でも多くの子どもたちの人生にいい影響を与え続けること

・子どもたちが、自分たちは守られていると感じられるようにすること

塾で仕事をしたいと思い続けていましたが、私が理想とする塾はどこにもありませんでした。

実現するために独立して塾を始めることにしました。

塾の講師という仕事。

私も一言で言えば、塾講師。

好き嫌いというのは誰でもあるけれども、

その全てをキライと言いきってしまうことは愚かなことだと思う。（自戒）

そう。人を判断するのに、見た目・仕事や役職を見るなんて誠に馬鹿げたこと。
